COVID-19 Update 22nd March 2020
We have been advised by the British Veterinary Association that we should cease providing non urgent services with immediate effect as part of the National Policy to limit the spread of COVID-19. This should include cancellation of all routine vaccination boosters and routine checkups (for example Healthcare Plan Checkups ) and any other non-urgent procedures eg. nail clipping, weight clinics, laser treatment
**Please note - that for annual booster that are due imminently, we are assured that the previous booster will provide at least 3 months of additional protection to those patients, allowing booster vaccinations to be delayed.
The surgery will still be open for urgent or emergency cases, that require medical attention.
We request that you telephone the surgery if your pet is unwell for guidance and to arrange for an appointment if necessary.
We will need to take precautions regarding ‘Social Distancing’ which may include taking the pet into the surgery for examination while the owner remains in the car in some cases.
We will continue to provide prescription medication for patients on long term treatment.
We also request that the minimum number of family members attend the surgery for each visit and that clients attend promptly for their appointment to minimize time waiting at the surgery.
Where possible we will be taking payment by telephone.
Thank you for your continued support during these difficult times and please be assured that you will be able to access urgent care if required.
COVID-19 Statement 19th March 2020
As the world changes the team soldier on providing the care and support our clients and patients need. There may be a few alterations put in place over the coming weeks. Our aim is to protect our staff so that we can continue looking after the animals in our care throughout a very difficult time.
These changes include:-
Asking clients who are unwell, self or group isolating to not come to the practice. If your pet is in need of urgent medical care please call reception and we will make arrangements to see your pet.
Asking clients to wash their hands on arrival at the practice.
Your pet may be held by a nurse or examined in the prep area of the practice so that we are all able to maintain some social distance.
This world seems alien to us all but please be assured that we are here for you and your pet at a turbulent and stressful time.
